FDA approval for “Cialis
Once a Day" |
Eli Lilly & Company of Indianapolis, Indiana, the United States has
been awarded the approval for manufacturing and selling their
branded drug Cialis Once a day pills for treating the erectile
dysfunction in males within the country, by the Food and Drugs
Administration-FDA of the United States. It is the third medicine
having got approval by the FDA for Erectile Dysfunction-ED category.
However, Cialis is different from its other competitors since the
effect of this medication lasts longer as compared to the others.
Cialis once a day pill is reported to be working through relaxing
the muscles and blood vessels within the male penis which leads to
extra blood supply to the penis resulting in the stronger erection
of the male penis. It is the approved oral medication in different
dose strengths. Cialis was assessed in randomized, placebo
controlled clinical trials that involved more than 4000 male
participants having erectile dysfunction disorders. In two of such
trials, the participants were having ED together with other problems
such as diabetes mellitus or following prostatectomy for prostate
cancer.
The efficiency of Cialis was assessed by the U. S. FDA through
specific questionnaire covering sexual functions. More over such
patients were also directed to declare whether they were attaining
the necessary penile erection during their complete sexual
intercourse cycle and also whether the penile erections lasted until
orgasm. It was noticed that the drug Cialis stimulated the patient’s
ability of achieving and maintaining the erection of their penis
through out their sexual intercourse exercises.
